Dedication Highlights "Knights in Shining Armor"
The Reynolds family celebrated the dedication of their 2 bedroom home on August 1st. The Habitat Resale Store funded the project with labor provided by the Kingsport Regulars. Chuck Smith served as Site Supervisor. Jon Peters doubled as Project Coordinator & Volunteer Coordinator. This was the Regulars' 39th Habitat house and the Resale Store's 52nd. Before moving into their new home on McGee Street, the Reynolds family was living in a dilapidated older home. "My daughter and I were blessed to have the mend who call themselves the Kingsport Regulars build our home," Paula tearfully told the crowd at the dedication. "We now call them the 'Kingsport Knights in Shining Armor.' They worked every day in the hot sun and they were always so sweet to us."
