The period for accepting applications for homeownership in Sullivan, Carter, and Washington counties in Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia is currently closed. We do not have dates set for when we will reopen for applications. Once the dates are known, we will advertise those on our website, Facebook page, and with local media outlets. Please contact the Homeowner Services department at 423-239-7689, ext. 802 for more information.

Holston Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We provide individuals and families with limited financial resources and housing need with an opportunity to build and purchase an affordable home. We believe that no matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve a decent place to live. We deserve the stability offered through an affordable home and the strength to build our own futures.

Working alongside volunteers, our homebuyers contribute the sweat equity (volunteer labor) toward the construction of their home, the homes of others, and other Habitat projects. Our homebuyers also attend homeowner education classes, save for closing costs, and commit to improving their financial health. Once construction is complete, our homebuyers attend a closing where the homes are sold to them through an affordable Habitat mortgage and they become homeowners!
