ReStore Volunteer
The ReStore relies on the support of volunteers from the community to be a valuable resource for our customers. As new donations are coming in every day, volunteers accept donations; assess the usability of donations; clean, assemble, repair and price donations prior to stocking; stock donations on the sales floor; and keep the store inventory organized and clean.
We have two ReStore locations (Kingsport and Johnson City), giving the most flexible options for volunteers to donate their time.
Must be at least 16 years old to volunteer.
Volunteers are subject to background check.
Volunteers are needed for the following positions:
Donation Receiving
Staff the donation area and help unload and receive donations.
Donation Processing
Process donations as needed to make them ready for sale in the store. Job will include sorting, cleaning and testing as needed.
Pricing & Stocking
Research value/pricing for incoming merchandise. Be familiar with merchandise already priced and on the sales floor. Organize, clean and help stock processed product to appropriate department on sales floor. Assist with receiving and processing donations as needed.
Cashier/Customer Service
Greet customers, operate the cash register, answer phone, and provide excellent customer service.
